“ Looks can be deceiving. When you look at the average rating and then walk into the restaurant, initially you feel some disappointed because it is very plain looking. But then you have some food and all your doubts disappear. The food is without a doubt the best I had in Europe. It is that good!!! Everything is perfect. I ate more than I wanted and enjoyed more than I expected. If you are looking for Indian/pakistani cuisine, you can't go wrong with it. I guarantee you will leave satisfied and a sense of amazement that you found this incredible food in this little corner of France. ”
“ I went to BoN'aan Petit yesterday with a friend of mine. Ordered some butter chicken and plain naan, and asked them to make it extra spicy. When the food was brought out, the aroma hit my senses with a dismissive familiarity - I was brought back to Cupertino's Tandoori Cafe, a place where I spent many happy evenings as a child. There is something incredibly special about a regional connect in a third space. By this, I refer to the connect of South Asian-ness within the third space of France. The owners at BoN'aan Petit made me feel so welcome; the nose-reddening cold outside was in heavy contradiction to the deep warmth of this small restaurant. Despite us coming from countries that have historically been in conflict, I felt no animosity. On the contrary, the comfort that I felt could be compared to being snuggled in a warm blanket with a nice show to watch. I'm just having the leftover butter chicken for breakfast. I don't think this is very palatable to my digestive system, which is now accustomed to milk and cereal. It is, however, palatable to my heart and soul. P.S. - the leftovers are indicative of the large portion size! ”
